Quick answers

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. Editing, preview, imports and exports all run in your browser. The document is saved only in this browser's local storage so it survives a reload.

How do I save as PDF?

Press PDF / Print and pick “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF”) as the printer. The page is laid out with print-friendly styles, math and diagrams included.

How to use the Markdown Editor

  1. Type Markdown on the left (or open a .md, Word, HTML or PDF file) and watch the preview on the right.
  2. Use the toolbar or shortcuts for bold, headings, links, lists, tables, math ($…$, $$…$$) and Mermaid diagrams.
  3. Switch between Editor, Split and Preview views; editor and preview scroll together.
  4. Export as .md, standalone HTML, Word (.docx) or PDF (choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog).

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert Word to Markdown?

Yes. Open a .docx file: headings, bold and italic text, lists, links, tables and pictures are converted to Markdown. Complex layouts such as text boxes or columns are simplified.

Which Markdown features are supported?

GitHub-style Markdown: tables with alignment, task lists, strikethrough, fenced code, automatic links, plus math with KaTeX ($…$ and $$…$$) and Mermaid diagrams in ```mermaid blocks.

Why does an image show a placeholder?

Images hosted on other websites are not loaded by default, for privacy. Turn on “Load remote images”, or insert pictures from your device: they are embedded in the document.

What happens to math and diagrams in Word?

Diagrams become pictures. Formulas are kept as LaTeX text, because Word's equation format is different; the HTML and PDF exports show them fully typeset.
