Quick answers
Can I really change the text that is already in the PDF?
Yes. Click a paragraph with Edit text and type: the old letters are removed from the page and the new text is written in the same place, size and color, with the same font when it contains the letters you typed. Missing letters use the closest standard font, and the editor tells you which ones.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Processed on your device: your files are never uploaded. How it works

How to use the PDF Editor
- Drop a PDF (password-protected files ask for the password; nothing is uploaded).
- Pick a tool: Edit text to click a paragraph and retype it, Add text, Image, Signature, shapes, Draw, Stamp, Link or Comment; Highlight, Underline and Strikeout work on selected text.
- Fill form fields with the Select tool, or add new ones with Form field. Use Redact to mark areas, then Apply redactions to remove what is under them.
- Switch to Pages to reorder, rotate, delete, duplicate, insert or extract pages and crop margins.
- Click Download PDF. Undo and redo work for every change until then.

Frequently asked questions
Is the redaction permanent?
Yes. After you apply it, the text, image pixels and drawings under the areas are removed from the page content, not just covered by a black box, and the saved file does not keep the old version.
Will my comments and highlights work in other PDF readers?
Yes. Highlights, underlines, strikeouts, sticky notes and links are saved as standard PDF annotations that Acrobat, Preview, Edge, Chrome and others can show and edit. You can also flatten them into the page when saving.
Can I fill in PDF forms?
Yes, text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns and lists. You can also add new fields, sign in signature fields, and flatten the form so the answers can't be changed.
What happens to a digitally signed PDF?
Any change rewrites the file, so the digital signature is no longer valid, although the visible signature stays. Keep the original if you need the signature.
