Free Password Generator
Password Generator creates random passwords from 4 to 128 characters, or passphrases of 3 to 12 words from the EFF word list, using the browser's cryptographic random generator without modulo bias. It shows the exact entropy in bits and a zxcvbn strength score, and can make up to 50 at once. Nothing is stored.

Quick answers
Are the passwords sent or saved anywhere?
No. They are created on your device with the browser's cryptographic random number generator and are never stored or transmitted.
Password or passphrase: which is better?
Both are strong when long enough. A passphrase of 5–6 random words is easier to type and remember; a 16+ character random password packs more strength into fewer characters.

How to use the Password Generator
- Choose Password or Passphrase.
- Set the length (or number of words) and the character types, symbols and options you need.
- Copy the result, or press Regenerate for a new one. Generate up to 50 at once if you need a batch.

Frequently asked questions
What do the entropy bits mean?
They measure how many guesses an attacker who knows your settings would need: each extra bit doubles the work. Around 60 bits is good for most accounts, 80+ for important ones.
Why is the strength check different from the entropy?
The zxcvbn score looks for patterns like words, dates and keyboard sequences, the way real cracking tools do. Random passwords from this tool usually score at the top.
